"This honor recognizes the individual showing strong support, loyalty and devotion to the team as exemplified by the late Joe Mastrangelo, among the original season ticket holders." Robert Kraft and representatives of BankBoston and the Mastrangelo family presented me with the trophy before the Patriots victory over the Ravens. Mr. Mastrangelo was a devoted Patriots fan who unfortunately passed away shortly after the Patriots SuperBowl XX appearance. I've been asked what being named Patriots Fan of the Year means to me, here are my feelings: "Every year a bunch of Academy Awards are given out, and maybe a half-dozen or so Nobel Prizes. But in the history of the world I am only the 13th person to be named Patriots Fan of the Year!" A big "Thank You!" to everyone who nominated me, both this year and in the past. And if you still have a copy of your nomination send it over and I'll put it online. And of course I'd like to especially thank the Mastrangelo family, the Patriots, and BankBoston for honoring me with this very special award. Click here for the latest pictures.
