Censorship Alive & Well in Franklin, Massachusetts
Well my broadcasting days are over for the time being. While I was doing my best to entertain my listeners a crazed religious fanatic (who didn't find my innocuous Easter jokes humorous) complained a bunch of times and got me in all kinds of trouble ( click here for the whole sordid story.). That doesn't seem like a very Christian thing to do, does it? With all the stones he cast at me he must be without sin.

One of the most disturbing things about organized religion is that their followers are very intolerant of anyone who is a little different than they are - then they take whatever steps are necessary to attempt to squash that person's viewpoints (remember The Crusades, The Spanish Inquisition, and Galileo?). And don't forget the Church's collaboration with Hitler during World War II. Diversity is what makes the world a much more interesting place to live in. It's really too bad we can't all live together in peace (isn't that what Jesus wanted?).

What's really sad is that even though many Americans sacrificed their lives for our freedom you can still be censored for saying things that a small, but very vocal minority find offensive. Is this America, Castro's Cuba, Communist Russia, or Nazi Germany? Remember - censorship is the first step to something far more sinister.

I guess I'm most disappointed with Power 88's General Manager Vic Michaels and his boss Nancy Kerr. Instead of standing up for what's right they took the easy way out and caved in to one unbalanced induvidual. Even though I broke no FCC regulations or station rules they suspended me - click here to let them know how you feel.

This was probably my least entertaining
show of all. I was told to to cut
back on my humor: "it isn't a
comedy hour".Of course I knew my
sense of humor was my main strength.
Still, I tried to appease the powers
that be - but it made for a dull show...
